A photo taken during the alien invasion which saw the first every true display of wide scale use of meta humans during my military combat along the uses of nuclear weapons by major powers in order to end the one day conflict ending with the complete lost of the aliens. The unstable world condition brought by this “war” is often accredited with the rise of Legion and their take over of middle and Southern Africa during the “week war”.

This picture was taken shortly after the first sighting of the terrorist known as Jim Crow soon after the mass hanging of klanmens and the stone mountain bombing. It has been reported that both Reaper along with his team of heroes has several of Crow’s plots although police has still refuse to admit he exists. Often compared to comic book hero Batman in style criminals who had encountered him reported the Reaper to have more of a personality consistent with the marvel hero Spider-Man.

These are a few photos from a DBWI I created that was loosely inspired by The Sun, Star & Sickle by @WaterproofPotatoes, with some embellishments to allow for ideas that would require PODs before 1900.

During WW1, the Dutch openly sided with the Central Powers. As one can see with the German uniforms adapted by the Dutch Army in ZuidAfrika. In Europe, however, the Dutch's main role was mostly just to keep Belgium under control while Germany fought France.

Britain entered WW1 after two of its Allies were attacked. First, the Dutch invaded Belgium with German support in 1915. Then, Spain attacked Portugal only two months thereafter. This image comes from later in the war, where the British finally were able to take advantage of US intervention and take part in liberating Portugal.

Japanese soldiers march through the former Dutch half of Borneo. Which, along with the formerly Spanish Philippines and German New Guinea, were among the territories that Japan was allowed to keep as their reward for supporting the Allies, under various conditions regarding the treatment of natives.

Anton Mussert would lead the Netherlands into its alliance with Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia in the 1930s. He too would permit several war crimes against Native Africans in Zuid Afrika.

Ever since the Soviet Navy began building its Pacific Fleet in 1926, many experts warned that the Soviet Union was a bigger threat the USN Pacific Fleet than either the Royal Navy or the IJN, and advised that the main HQ of the Pacific Fleet be moved from Hawaii to further north on Wake Island. Unfortunately, these fears would be vindicated on July 23, 1941 when the Soviet Pacific Fleet launched an airborne attack on Guam, as well as landing in the Aleutian Islands.

The first major campaign for American forces on the China Front was the Battle of Hong Kong in 1941. In this campaign, American Marines joined British Commonwealth (mainly ANZAC), Chinese Republican, and Japanese forces in finally pushing back the People's Liberation Army and their Soviet allies.

A pair of British soldiers share a good word of cheer with their Japanese allies on Christmas Day 1941. This day would become known as "Gold Christmas", since it was the day that British, Japanese, and Chinese Republican forces drove out the last of the PLA forces with American Marine support. This particular photo shows one of the Japanese soldiers showing of a rifle to his British comrade.

The Ghurkas to Japan's British Empire, the Filipino Juramentados proved to be some of the fiercest warriors in the IJA. Particularly in the Battle of Shanghai, which is where this group caught a few PLA spies trying to disguise themselves as IJA troops. (The US soldiers were apparently ones who the Japanese had rescued from certain doom in their attack against the PLA).

The RoC forces often found themselves reliant on their Japanese allies in the early days of the War. As you can see from their uniforms in this shot from the Battle of Shanghai. By the end of the war however, most of their supplies were American in origin.​

“The guys a joke. Paine has got him in his pocket. Mueller too, so help us.”

Ehrlichman briefly bristled at his colleague’s description of the Vice President.

“Ambitious?”

Haldeman leant back, covering his mouth conspiratorially.

“A fairy tale. Never seen anything like it. It’s got this grand sounding title, new rockets, the frapping Space Shuttle, these nuclear reactors, and Mars, of course.

Ehrlichman took his glasses off.

“New rockets? What’s wrong with the ones we’ve already got? Saw one head off to the moon last month…they seem to work pretty darn good.”

Haldeman shrugged.

“Why don’t you speak to some of Spiro’s guys? The ones he listens to: those old timers he brought with him. Lay the OMB stuff on thick – they’ll be all over it soon. Y’know, this is the VPs first big job for the President, he doesn’t want to…you know the sort of thing.”

Ehrlichman nodded.

“But what does the President want?”

Haldeman snorted.

“On space? Damned if I know. Doubt he does, really. Something that’s new, but not too new, not the damn Moon race. Something that plays well in the south, something that’s…”

They said cheaper at the same time.

“…give the man options. Spiro and Paine need to come with options. You know what he’s like, he wants to choose. A big thing, little smaller, and something tiny that makes us look like a joke. They’ve got to give him something he can say yes to.”

“I’ll speak to them.”

Sharknado was a 2012 Lionsgate production starring Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie and Leonardo DiCaprio. It told the story of the Bryce family, a regular family living in LA with Tom Hanks playing John Bryce, the father to Lisa Bryce played by Robbie who was dating Steve Washington played by DiCaprio. The story then goes on to feature a series of massive waterspouts picking up dozens of sharks from nearby schools and flinging them across the city. Hanks's character, after initially disapproving of DiCaprio's character, grows to accept them after he saves the group from several dangerous situations. The movie ends with the three driving out of a rebuilding LA towards an uncertain future. The movie was criticized for a less than good plot and VFX but still gathered awards for the performances of Hanks, Robbie and DiCaprio. The Sharknado Franchise (now up to three movies) quickly became cult classics and has taken the group to NYC and London. Rumors of a fourth movie were dismissed after Hanks passed away in 2023 from complications from a stroke.

NASA administrator James Fletcher confirmed that Apollo 16 and 17 would land on the moon later this year and Skylab, the first American space station, would be launched in 1973. He called reports that the agency was working with Saturn V contractors to reopen their currently mothballed production lines ‘premature’.

It could've happened IOTL, the Beatles got a lot death threats after the infamous "We're bigger than God" remark. John remarked how once they all stopped playing in the middle of a song because they heard a firecracker go off and they all thought one of them had been shot.

They continued with the tour though. Ballsy Liverpudlians.
