Piracy was already a problem in the region after the fall of Saigon and intensified during Doomsday as the nations around the region fell into instability in the aftermath of the nuclear war. Today, piracy remains in the areas of the South China Sea, the Celebes Sea, and the Sulu Sea.

The Rockingham Town Hall in the village of Bellows Falls in the town of Rockingham, Vermont Republic.

Built in 1926, it is one of the most famous landmarks in the area. In 1982, a year prior to Doomsday, it along with the rest of Downtown Bellows Falls was designated as the Bellows Falls Downtown Historic District.
