Photos from 1983: Doomsday

Oh, interesting. They are well write, but maybe you could expand more the story of democratic Sicily, maybe as the beginning of Catania Metro, or the rebuilding of Trenitalia between Alpine trains and Genoa throguh Cuneo
Sicily was a democratic nation between 1983 up until 2002 (In reality an illiberal one), in 2002 a expansionistic and militaristic faction would emerge among some far right politicians and the most extremist members of the armed forces, claiming that the political class has become soft and weak. In 2002 the Two Sicilies would become a dictatorship with a military junta or a civilian dictator. I'm thinking that after the 2nd Sicilian War the population of the republic, alongside moderate and liberal members of the Armed Forces would stage a revolution and a coup d'etat for ousting the dictatorship and replacing it with a full democracy. Ending his militaristic goals and starting to open relationships with northern Italy.

The railway system in northern Italy as 2020 is restored in every part of it, and the use of the train as a mean of transport is the most popular choice. Also i was thinking that the IPA would apply a free area zone to his member states, much like is doing the EU with the Schengen Treaty and also the use of a currency adopted by all of his members, much like the Euro.

I think that ADC helped to democratise Sicily

Kawasaki C-1 transport plane of the JASDF. By miracle, a significant portion of these transport planes survived Doomsday as the Soviets did not target Iruma Air Base (Sayama, Saitama Prefecture), Miho Air Base (Yonago, Totori Prefecture), and Komaki Air Base (Komaki, Aichi Prefecture). However, some had to be retired due to the lack of spare parts. In 2020, only 10-15 planes remain air worthy.

The Radio Veritas Transmission Station in Quezon City, Philippines. On February 16, 1987, this was the site of the Radio Veritas Standoff between several activists and Catholic clergymen held themselves inside broadcasting Catholic and anti-Marcos sentiment. Pro-Marcos Army and Marine units surrounded the station for five days until they forcibly entered the building on February 21, 1987 and opened fire on the activists. 14 people were killed. The killing of unarmed activists would spark outrage among the Filipino people. This incident would soon begin the downfall of Ferdinand Marcos.
