The launch and the first few minutes of Music Television (MTV) on August 1, 1981, just a little over two years before Doomsday. Tape recovered from a wealthier resident who had cable TV in an unnuked area of the former United States.

As the headquarters of MTV was located in New York City, it went off the air permanently as a result of the city getting nuked on the evening of September 25, 1983.
