Philip the Handsome Survives

What if Philip the Handsome, husband of Joanna of Castile, did not die in 1506? how would this affect Castilian and Iberian politics? What happens to Charles V in this scenario? What would Philip be like as Holy Roman Emperor? What if?

His wife would not become best known as Juana la Loca (Joan the Mad) and their son Charles would have not become a de facto orphan (due to the mental state of his mother) at the age of 6 growing up at his aunt's, Margaret of Austria's court, but with his parents instead. He would also not ascend the throne at such a young age as he did IOTL. His very different experiences in both his childhood, youth and adolescence will form him to become quite a different man and ruler from OTL.

Joan the Mad probably will stay mentally unstable, since that wouldn't be altered, however apart from that external conditions might be better for her ITTL.
Also given the age of Philip and Joan, there most likely will be more children.

Regarding the court of Margaret of Austria in Mechelen (Malines in French), it still was quite Burgundian in style and attracted a lot of artists (including musicians) and scientists (like any court). The education of Charles V and his siblings there was more influenced by humanist scientists than one might think.
Also regardless whether Philip survives or not, Philip and Joan had travelled to Castille leaving their eldest children in the Burgundian Netherlands.

However the relationship between Ferdinand II of Aragon and Philip the Handsome would remain problematic. This scenario might result in OTL Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand I being named as the heir of the Spanish Kingdoms. Since Philip and Ferdinand II really disliked each other.
If that would happen, then Charles V probably will marry Anna of Bohemia & Hungary instead.

If Philip the Handsome survives and he and Juana gain control of Castille, her children might have to wait a very long time before they rule Castille and/or Aragon. In the OTL she died in April 1555 (at age 75) and her son the OTL Charles V only outlived her by 3 years.

Could Philip have Charles moved to Spain?

Also, Juana would probably still be excluded from power. Philip and Ferdinand had already agreed she was 'mentally unstable'.

Maybe a three-way partition off the Hapsburg domains with Charles getting Spain, Ferdinand getting Austria and a ATL 3rd son getting Burgundy.

That assumes all potential future pregnancies aren't all girls:). Anyway if that's the case, then Philip might instead opt to attach the Burgundian Inheritance to the Austrian Hereditary Lands, especially if he's elected as Emperor.

no Protestant Netherlands under Ferdinand I?

Well like in Austria protestantism might arise, but the more gradual Austrian counter reformation might be more successful than the more blunt Spanish (-Habsburg) approach.

if there is a 30 year's war, how would Austrian Netherlands affect it?

How different in terms of costs vs. revenue are than they than they were for Spain?

OTL the Army of Flanders ate a huge amount of revenue, but this may or may not change if there is a Dutch Revolt (and if there is on what scale and with what level of success).

Depends if Juana keeps power or is excluded as IOTL.
