Philip IV of France dies in 1294

So here's a little thought I've been having.

In the mid 1290s, tensions between England and France were quite high, there were issues over Gascony, Scotland and various other things. A planned English campaign into France was averted due to a Welsh rebellion in 1294, but there would be other issues with France later on in the decade. What I am wondering is, in a scenario where the troubles in Scotland and Wales are still happening, what would happen in France and elsewhere, should Philip IV of France die in 1294. Let's say he dies from a fever, and his son Louis ascends the throne, what happens next?

Since Louis is 5yo at this point I would expect a regency under his mother the Queen of Navarre and his uncle Charles of Valois & Anjou.
I'm not sure much would change until he is older.
Probably a different resolution to the Templars and Avignon.

Interesting, would he still marry Margaret of Burgundy? I suppose Edward I would likely still marry Margaret of France

Hmm interesting, the fate of the templars will likely be quite different with Charles of Valois in charge, and I do imagine people like Marginy won't come into power
Absolutely, and his own royal ambitions may be curbed by being de facto King anyway (as Regent) unless he seeks to usurp Louis and his brothers.
