In the early 1980s, there were complaints regarding the level of violence in films like Gremlins and The Temple of Doom, which were labeled as PG. As a result of these complaints, Steven Spielberg suggested to the MPAA that a rating between G and PG be created films similar to or on the level regarding violence as shown in The Temple of Doom and Gremlins.
But what if this didn't happen?
