Peter in Sweden

What would've happened if Czar Peter III had been "abducted" to Stockholm and St. Petersburg? The Swedish throne was far better established, ergo he would probably marry someone a little more important than Sophie of Anhalt-Zerbst (therefore no Catherine the Great).

Also, could we perhaps see Finland electing him as king, on the condition it passes to a second son, or in lieu of that, to the nearest male relative in the house of Holstein (Adolf Frederik OTL King of Sweden).

Are you saying what if Duke Peter of Holstein-Gottorp became heir presumptive to Sweden instead of or prior to hp of Russia?

Thats what i'm saying. So in Russia Lizzie Petrovna will either have to marry or acknowledge Ivan VI as her successor

I have a thought, since he idolized Friedrich the Great, he might very well take a Prussian princess to wife (Luise Ulrike/Anna Amalie), rather than Sophie of Zerbst. Although, he's probably going to end up being a rubber stamp much like Adolf Frederik was OTL, given all the privileges Ulrika Eleonora had "given" to the Estates in exchange for them acknowledging her as Queen rather than Peter's father.

But, if he were to still marry Sophie of Zerbst (for some unknown reason (especially since AFAIR neither particularly liked the match, he was in love with Vorontsova or some other ugly lady in waiting, and she only consented because she would then be Empress of Russia)) an earlier royal coup d'etat a la Gustav III against the parliament might be done, although, I can't see Sophie getting away with murder (literally) if her husband (as Carl XIII? Peder I?) still dies in the same manner at say Ulriksdal or another remote Swedish palace.
