The Mexican criminals who had attempted to take over the country was now finding themselves invovled in a massive military conflict with the United Stated. A battalion of Us Rangers assaulted the headquaters of the conspiracy and captured more than 2 dozen people who had plotted the death of both the Governor General and the Prime Minister. Papers were captured that lead to more and more of those involved .General Patton had pushed to link up with US forces in the Mexican capital. A desire was to re-establish a Mexican Government that could take control of Mexico.

General Eisenhower reported to the President that Mexico was secure and plans were already underway to allow the withdrawal of US forces by the end of 1942. Mexico City was to be returned to Mexican Control as soon as a stable government was in place. The 17th Airborne and the 187th Airborne RGT were to be withdrawn by late October.
Miguel Podea was elected as the new Prime Minister of Mexico. As the senior elected offical he reached an agreement with the United States which would allow the Americans to withdraw from the country Pablo Valdez was appointed by the Spanish crown as the new Governor General. Mr Valdez was born in Mexico and marked the first appointment of a Mexican born citizen to the position.
The US withdrawal was completed in November 1942 as the last elements withdrew from Mexico and turned their positions over to the Mexican Federal Police. The US Congressional elections had seen just a few seats in congress change hands. General Eisenhower was recalled to the capital and in 1943 it was announced that he was nominated for the position of Army Chief of Staff which the Senate Confirmed.

The President 's term of office was 5 years and he was limited to a maxium of 2 terms.
The Central American Republic was suffering from a number of problems that had helped to fuel instability in the county. The Collapse of one of the largest banks in the country had resulted in the financial lose by 250,000 people and it had resulted in two large employers in the country going bankrupt. The result had been Political Instabliity as extremist on both sides sought to fill the political Vacuum . Those on the left pushed to Nationalize the Canal as well as a lot of the businesses. Hawaii had maintained the Canal and provided security for it. The Hawaiians offered to increase the countries share of the revenue to 15% while it kept 20% for Security and operation. The 65% remaining was being saved for a major upgrade.
In the Central American Republic the Police reported attacks on banks,Police stations and communication facilities. The Army was called in to re-establish order but found that the insurrgents were well equipped with Russian made assault rifles, RPGs and Mortars. the CAR Army was equipped with American made Garrand rifles, M-1 carbines, BARs.submachine guns and the standard weapons of the 1940s.
After the President of the Central American Republic was wounded in an assassination attempt the country's government requested help from the United States and Hawaii. President Kenedy dispatched a fact gatheing mission to the country to see what help was needed and was prepared to ask the Congress to help fund the aid.
The Hawaiian Army prescense in the America Canal Zone Increased as the 3 Battalions of the 12th Infantry Regiment arrived as well as the 2nd Battioion of the 4th Field Artillery Regt, another company of tanks, A helicopter Sqdn and a Naval Security detachment of the Royal Hawaiian Navy which included 3 Patrol boats. 12 A4D Sky raiders arrived to provide air support.

Colonel Ramon Vargas took leave from the Army to run for the Presidency. The minute he was granted leave he began to wear civilian attire. Both Hawaii and the US began to withdraw forces from the country.

The CAR share of revenue from the canal rose to 20% and a new treaty was being worked on regarding the relationship between Hawaii and the CAR over the canal. President Vargas traveled to the US and met with President Kennedy to discuss aid for his country . He also met with the Hawaiian Prime Minister at the Hawaiian Embassy to discuss trade,the Canal and other issues Both the Hawaiian and the Americans began to remove combat personnel from the Central American Republic. The Central American Republic concluded an arms agreement with the Government of Brazil to purchase some Brazilian made tanks and some small frigates.

In 2009 Neuva Granada became the center of attention when the President of the country was assassinated. The Army Chief of staff ,3 other generals,the Attorney General,4 members of the Senate and 3 governors all died> The President's Older Brother Ricardo Castillo used his contacts to get Martial Law declared. Ricard ran the family's businesses and he had evidence that a leftist coup was being attempted. He got his late brothers wife and children and brought them to a secure location. He called the Prime Minister of Hawaii and let him know of the events.
Ricard Castillio managed to convince the commander of the Navy to move the countries Marines into the ports and restore order. He also had some contacts in the Army and had the Capital division take control of the capital. Paratroopers landed and secured the Panama Canal. The part of Neuva Granada that had once been a part of Peru was held by insurgents who sought to rejoin Peru. Hawaii's Prime Minister was on the phone with the President of the US and the Prime Minister of Brazil. The Americans and Hawaiians were beginning to move forces to assist the government of Neuva Granada restore order.
Ricardo Castillo was named by the National Assembly as the new President of Neuva Granada> He asked the US to send troops to Panama to secure the Canal and President Longstreet after consulting with the Congressional Leadership and the Secretary of Defense. He issued orders to deploy the 82nd Airborne.
Royal Hawaiian Air Force Jets landed at the capital of Neuva Granada and prepared to evacuate Hawaiian citizens who wished to leave. The Hawaiian Embassy had its Marine guard reinforced bringing the detachment up to 60men. Hawaii also brought in supplies for the Neuva Granada Army and air Force with additional supplies arriving from the US. Hawaii was also evacuating any British, Australian, New Zealand and Canadian citizen who desired to leave the country. Hawaii supplied Neuva Granada with 24 Huey helicopters .
The troubles in Neuva Granada were forcing Ricardo Castillo and the National Assembly to look at the country and make some choices. It had started out as a Republic which had drifted away from that into a quasi-Monarchy. The Fall had just pushed the country further in that direction. The question was should Ricardo push things to actually turn it into a Monarchy which lived under a Constitution. First he needed help from the United States and Hawaii to restore stability in the country. Then he needed to make a decision should he use force to keep the part of Peru that had been annexed into Neuva Granada or reach a peaceful diplomatic settlement which allowed a restored Peru to be whole
With the assistance that Neuva Grandad's army received from both Hawaii and the US the Army was able to restore control over most of the country. The country elite Paratrooper units combined with special Forces were able to run down the insurgents and deal with them. In the Peruvian Section of the country the XXX Corp established a zone of control. Ricardo Castillo reach an agreement with the people who had broken away. A vote would be held in the area with supervision by the US-Canada-Spain and Switzerland. If the separatist got 60% then a border commission would be set in placeand Neuva Granada and Peru would jointly work together to make things go smoothly.
The Referendum was held under the watchful eyes of the International Commission and the region got the vote to move forward however some areas did votr nearly 70% to remain part of Neuva Granada. The result would be an adjustment to the border with some population moving to a new area..
The Map was redrawn and the population was moved so that there would be no future problem. The government of Peru and the Rebels praised President Castillo for reaching a peaceful settlement. Never the less the XXX Corp engineers began to dig new fortification and clearly mark the new border Troops began to patrol the new border.
