After 2 years of fighting the insurgency, the Central American Republic Forces had first contain and then slowly strangled the insurgency. Brazilian forces were reduced by 50% and then totally withdrawn by 1915. The Hawaiians retained some extra forces as they began work on Canal improvements. Elections were scheduled to take place in the CAR in June of 1916.

The Empire of Brazil had gained something as a result of its involvement in the troubles in the CAR. It had gained combat experience outside of the area immediately surrounding Brazil. This had shown the nations of Latin America that Brazil was a power to be not ignored. Brazil was glad that things had worked out well for both itself its ally Hawaii and the Central American Republic.

Brazil's Prestige had grown as a result of the Emperor's decision to join in the fight to save the CAR As a result Neuva Granada began to hold serious talks with its neighbor on a variety of topics. Argentina also began to hesitate to do anything that might cross the Brazilian government position.

In Latin America Brazil had reached out to other countries in the region in an effort to prevent the cycle of war.. Serious talks had resulted and the danger of Peru being swallowed by Neuva Granada had disappeared. The Brazilian Foreign Ministry had been quite busy putting out fires. Brazil and Chile signed a number of agreements. Brazil came close to getting Argentina to drop all claims to the Falkland Islands but at the last minute they backed out of the argument to the dismay of Brazil.

Brazil was becoming the lead power in South America. It had signed a trade deal with both Peru and Chile. A defense Treaty with Chile , which in effect marginalized Argentina. It finally reached a border agreement with Neuva Granada and began work on a Latin American Common Market. Brazil made it clear that this would be a trade agreement not a political one. Still The 20th Century was showing that Brazil was rapidly emerging as a major player.
