Hawaii began a long involvement with Ireland and Portugal. Since the American Canal was still under construction a lot of Hawaiian goods had to be shipped by rail across the Central American Republic from the Pacific to the Caribbean coast. There ships carried the goods to Portugal. Brazil, Ireland Iceland or Canada. In fact a small Hawaiian_American Shipping company operated out of the Central American Republic. It started out with 3 ships that went through the Straits of Magellan all the ways up. The company eventually had 3 more ships built in Brazil. In fact contracts were made to build at least nine additional ships in that country. A passenger ship was built and it was used to transport Hawaiian Army Engineers to Ireland and Portugal

The Hawaiians, Brazilians and Portuguese Representatives met and hammered out a plan of action to ensure the maximum impact on the country. The Hawaiians and the Brazilians wanted an impact that could be felt by all of the people as well as the reconstruction of Lisbon.

Prime Minister Kamehameha's visit to Brazil resulted in agreement between the two countries on their approach to the rebuilding of Portugal. In addition the two countries signed a trade and a Mutual Security agreement, Hawaii sought Brazil's opinion regarding relations with other Latin American Nations. Hawaii was seeking a long term oil agreement with Neuva Granada as part of a overall trade agreement. There was also an agreement concerning the American Canal and the Panama Canal.
His Next stop was Ireland where he would seek to make headway on the rebuilding of the country.

Europe was seeing a lot of reconstruction as an effort began to put the Fall behind the as if a page was turned. It would take decades but the effort had begun. France was slowly taking steps. As mentioned before efforts were being made in Portugal and Ireland to help. Talks had begun with Spain.

World came that Hawaii's Prime Minister would be visiting Ireland, Spain and Portugal for talks with the government of the three countries. With regard to Ireland and Portugal the Hawaiian Prime Minister would visit several sites where Hawaiians were involved in major reconstruction projects.
