Peshawar Lancers Redux: Asia

Japan strengthen its border defenses along the Manchuria-Han border. The 24 pillboxes and bunkers was to be quadrupled.. The 3,000 man border security force was increased as two Japanese divisions moved into the region. Barbed wire,minefield were established.
 
Lin Bien Prime Minister of the Han Kingdom announced that his country had sign an Arms Purchase agreement with Russia. It was also believed that the country was in talks about a mutual defense Pact with Russia that would see Russia come to its aid if attacked by the Republic of China of the Empire of Japan.
The Republic of China responded by taking control of several areas where it dominated despite being part of the Han Kigdom.
 
A Russian Light Cruiser arrived in Shanghai with 5 Russian Merchant ships. They proceeded to unload their cargo in the port with the majority going to the Han Military. Other goods were delivered to merchants. A dozen Russian made cars was delivered to a Han dealer. Han made goods were loaded aboard the merchant ships and after all were loaded they all set sail to Vladivostok
 
Japan signed an agreement to purchase 36 F-84 jets and to produce another 226 in Japan. Japan also began work on developing a Japanese made MBT with assistance from
an American company. China also bought the F-84.
 
China began to Immediately increase its defenses. It called up the ready reserve and deployed the 38th Army and 40th Army to the Border region with Russia and Mongolia.
Border Security forces were bought up to full strength. The Chinese and Japanese governments began to consult one another regarding the Russian threat. Japan cut off the sale of tools which would allow the Han Kingdom to work on producing more modern weapons. Some Japanese businesses began to close in the Han Kingdom.
 
Han Foreign Minister Dun Se Ping informed the Japanese Ambassador that the Presence of Japanese Imperial Special Naval Forces in the Shantung Peninsula was a violation of the territorial rights of the Kingdom and they needed to be removed. The American Consulate General was informed by the Han Government that the presence of all the warships off of Shanghai was considered to be a hostile act. The Russian government sent AA guns and combat aircraft to strengthen the Han Military.
 
The US Navy prepared to strike Han Air Force bases and military bases around Shanghai. The Navy was prepared to neutralize the Han Naval forces in the region. The USS New Jersey lead task force was en-route to re reinforce the Task Force lead by the USS Midway.
 
The US Navy Forces increased off of Shanghai and were joined by a Royal Hawaiian Navy Task Force as well as two RAN Destroyers and 1 RNZN Frigate. The RHAF deployed 5 B-50 (upgraded B-29s) to the Royal Hong Kong Colony. Japan landed additional forces in the Shangtung Region, And prepared to landed a reinforced Brigade at Shabghai.
 
The Japanese Ambassador to the Han Kingdom submitted a letter from his government to the Han Kingdom;s government. In it the government of Japan express supreme displeasure at the actions of the Han Kingdom. The government of Japan would use whatever force was needed to evacuate its citizens. Japan was freezing all assets of the Han Kingdom . Japan would not allow any Russian ship to pass threw its waters bound for the Hand Kingdom. A parachute Brigade was dropped at Peking with orders to secure the Japanese Embassy Four divisions of the Japanese Fourteenth Army were ordered to the Manchurian-Han Border and were now on a wartime footing.
 
The 11th Han Army was charged with the defense of the Han Kingdom's border with Manchuria. It had two Infantry divisions, 2 armored Brigades(equipped with T54s) and 12 Militia Battalions.
 
The Russians had a considerable Military advisor and training mission in the Han Kingdom. They had trained the Han army in the use and Maintenance of Russian equipment. The 11th Army had Russian advisers attached to the two infantry divisions and the Tank Brigades. The Russian advisors believed that the Han Militia battalions were a mixed bag, Some Battalions could function under the pressure of combat but most would fall apart onced the were forced out of defensive position.
 
Russia Ambassador to the Han Kingdom informed the Kingdom that Russia was willing to deploy forces into the Han Kingdom to prevent Japan, Republic of China and the US from continuing with their actions. The Ambassador received an official request for assistance from the Han Government. The Russian Far Eastern Command proceeded to deploy the 8th Airborne Division to Peking. The Russian Paratroopers seized the airport from Japanese Paratroopers and proceeded to wrest control of the road from the airfield to the Han Capital. The Russian 5th Tank Army crossed from Mongolia into the Han kingdom. The 7th Airborne Division was also deployed to the Han Kingdom along with Corp Command..
As a result the Republic of China 's Army carried out two offensive operations making territorial gains.
 
The Russians had now linked up with the Han 11th Army while the Russian Paratroopers had drive the Japanese from the Airport and were proceeding to assist the Han Security forces in regaining control of the Capital. Russian Combat aircraft had landed at secure airfields and were beginning to fly Combat air patrols. The Russian 18th Mechanized army had moved into the Han Kingdom from Mongolia and were providing the Han Army with support against Nationalist Chinese Attacks. Japanese troops now crossed into the Han Kingdom to assist in the evacuation from Peking. They had engage and destroyed two Han Militia Battalions.
 
The 32nd and 40th Nationalist Chinese armies with a combined strength of 14+ divisions had pushed the Han forces from the Hong Kong region to 36 miles away from the Royal Crown Colony. The Nationalist had given the two armies lots of air support with B-25 and B-26 striking targets and P-47 fighter bombers supporting the ground forces.
The Chinese were attempting to push to Shanghai.
 
Fighting had broken out between the Imperial Japanese Army forces and the Russian-Han forces. Combat was fierce and the Japanese Paras were able to reach the relief force. Some Japanese owned factories were blown up by the owners.
 
In Shanghai US and Hawaiian Marines were evacuating foreigners from the city when the came under attack by Han People's Militia Battalions. The Hawaiians deployed their entire Battalion of the 1st Royal Hawaiaan Marine Battalion as well as a company of 12 M=41 tanks. The Us deployed the rest of their Marine force giving them a combined Hawaiian -US Force of 2 Battalions of Marine Infantry, 1 company of tanks and 2 Batteries of 105mm artillery plus support forces. US Carriers provided air support.
 
Shanghai: Colonel Nathan Lee USMC was the commanding officer of the Marine Amphibious group forces in the city Lt Colonel Marcus La France Royal Hawaiian Marine Corp was the commander of the Hawaiian Marines. He was acting in concert with Colonel Lee and they were dealing with the problem caused by the Han People's Militia. Things appeared to get even more complex when a group of veterans of the Han Imperial Japanese Army joined the fight against the People's Militia. A company of Royal Hawaiian Marines backed by these Veterans of the Japanese Imperial Army. Colonel Lee was requesting additional forces as Shanghai was like the Wild Wild West. He needed help to secure the city so that he could evacuate the city.
The Republic of China offered to deploy its 1st Airborne Division to the City. That would bring more than 12,000 Nationalist troops and they could airlift additional forces but that would probably result in Han Regular Army and Russian troops rushing to the area.
In the meantime 900 Marines were airlifted into the airport and secured it. President Eisenhower had approved the movement of additional ground forces. An Army Parachute RGT was to reinforce the Marines .
 
The Han Kingdom was finding itself involved not only in a fight with the Republic of China but with Imperial Japan..It was the conflict with Japan that was causing groups within the Kingdom to take up arms against the government. The veterans who had served in the Han Branch of the Imperial Japanese Army felt a loyalty to Japan.
The Result was Russia was now having to deploy a growing Russian Army in the Han Kingdom.
 
The Russian Foreign Minister delivered a letter to the British, Hawaiian,Chinese,Japanese and British Governments warning the countries that Russia would not allow them to take advantage of the Han Kingdom. Russian force would assist the Han Kingdom in protecting its borders.. Already 14 divisions of Russian troops had entered the country. Russian Combat aircraft had engaged Japanese and Chinese war planes that had dared to enter Han airspace.
 
Chinese Medium Bombers struck at targets in Russia carrying out a number of fast strikes at air bases and the trans-Siberian Railroad. Fighter bombers struck at tarets in Mongolia destroying supply depots.. The 40th Chinese army resumed offensive operations after it was reinforced with another corp of 3 divisions and additional air and antitank forces.
