Hawaii's new Secretary of State was expected to visit India, Australia, Netherlands East Indies and New Zealand.

Hawaii's Secretary of state visited the capital of British India and had serious discussions regarding relations between the two nations and the recent increase in Natural disasters ie volcanic activity. It seemed that there had now been eruptions in Alaska, Central America and the the islands in that region. The British were well aware that there had been reports of 20,000 people killed on one of the islands. So far none had been of the scale that might have a major effect on climate.

The Hawaiian Secretary of State reassured its allies that Hawaii was not changing its position. He had a meeting in the Netherlands East Indies with both the Dutch and the visiting Foreign Minister of the Empire of the Rising Sun.

The Empire of the Rising Sun was made aware of the quake in the US and of the danger that it could be to the Empire's cities. The result was the beginning of a change in future building.

The Empire of the Rising Sun had seen some Volcanic activity in the Jima Islands and there had been some minor quake activity in the home islands.

The Russians and the Empire of the Rising Sun clashed several times regarding the border between Manchuria and Siberia and in Mongolia when Imperial forces moved into the country. The Bear was now wide awake in the Far East and was prepared to fight back.

Both the British Empire and Hawaii were concern over the military clashes between Imperial Russia and the Empire of the Rising Sun. Both Britain 's RAF and the Hawaiian Naval Air Service had carried out aerial recon missions over Northwestern China and Mongolia.

Russia had helped to train the Chinese National Army and had supplied them with arms. The goal was to retake more of China and force the Empire of the Rising Sun to acknowledge a separate China

The Chinese began to slowly push southward in an attempt to free China from domination by the Empire of the Rising Sun.. While the British were certain that the Russians were behind this they did not become involved in any fighting as long as the Russians were not involved.

The Empire of the Rising Sun carried out a two prong approach to the Chinese threat. It held secret talks with the Chinese in an attempt to reach a settlement. On the other hand the Chinese threat was taken seriously and nearly 90,000 additional troops arrived in China. The Empire of the Rising Sun also had 25,000 loyal Chinese troops with Japanese officers and Ncos to assist in dealing with the threat.
