Persian (Achaemenid) Greece - Effects in Rome

What would Rome look like and how would its civilization develop if the Greek cities were permanently subordinated by the Achaemenids?

If we're assuming Persia conquered Greece during the Greco-Persian wars, it will be Nigh-impossible for them to keep order in the Greek mainland, as the Greeks, being the fiercely independent city-states that they are, will constantly revolt and riot against Persian rule. Keep in mind the Persians are already having to deal with threats on three separate continents at this point, so funneling resources to quell rebellion after rebellion will take a good toll of the Persian economy. So, it would be very difficult for them to keep the Greeks in line, but not impossible.

Greece would be the furthest Persia would be able to conquer westward, with Persia only loosely exert control in Greece. And in time, become a waste and drain of resources and manpower. (A lot like Egypt was like.) Same for rebellion in the furthest regions to the East next to India. This is about Rome, but you may very well see the Achaemenids collapse on themselves in due time..

Rome may have to face with strong Hellenic states to the South in Sicily and Southern Italy. (Influx of Greeks fleeing from the East.) Rome may take in more Greek influence, or less. (The fate of Hellas.)
