Perception of WW2 after WW3

Let's say WW3 occurs sometime in the late fifties or early sixties. The Soviet bloc is annihilated, Europe is heavily damaged, and the US is only "lightly" hit. In the war and its aftermath, hundreds of millions would have died, a number dwarfing the tens of millions killed in WW2.

How will WW2 be viewed after the war? Would Nazi Germany still be considered the most evil regime in history? Or would Hitler's crimes be forgotten? Would some Americans wonder if the US backed the wrong side in WW2? After all, Khrushchev killed far more Americans the Hitler or Tojo did. Would fascism be considered a "lesser evil" than communism?

How would the heavily damaged countries of Europe view WW2? In Asia? Would surviving Chinese and North Koreans hate the Americans more than the Japanese?

In the long run, would WW2 be forgotten by the general public, like WW1?
