Peel Israel and Post-War Boundaries

In 1937 the British Peel Commission proposed a partition of Palestine in which the Jews would get a third of the territory Britain would retain Jerusalem and a link to the sea, and Transjordan would get the remainder. Jordan and the Jews were happy with the idea, but local Arabs in Palestine weren't as fond of it.

So here's a thought: Not only does it go through, but as the war is being waged the British coax the Israelis into joining the war. They promise the Israelis the Jerusalem Mandate (which included Bethlehem, Ramallah, and Kfar Etzion) and the Israelis in the process grab slices of Lebanon and Syria during the Levant Campaign of the War. Most troops end up being used in North Africa and the Levant I imagine.

As for populations, the Peel proposal called for population transfers between Jordan and Israel. However, I don't think the Israels would expel populations in the Golan, the Litani lands, or the Jerusalem area - it'd probably be like the OTL Galilee in terms of how the population is treated. It'd be a shame for there to be no Christian Palestinians in Nazareth.

If Nasser still comes to power, I think the British and French might try to have a Jordanian takeover of the Sinai when they intervene to retake the Suez Canal.

In the 1937-1941 period (I don't think the British would ask for Israeli assistance until after the Fall of France and Italian entry into the war) Israel would probably be flooded with migrants. The Jews of Germany, Austria, and Bohemia-Moravia would all have somewhere to go TTL, and the Polish government, due to its distaste for Jews, was supportive of Zionism as a means for getting rid of the Jews of Poland.
