Peacetime casting: the Ragtime Era

OK, the rules are fundamentally identical to those in the other casting threads. This time, though, the setting is primarily the United States in the Ragtime Era (roughly 1899-1915). That's not to say it's limited only to Americans: if you can come up with, say, a good portrayer of (let's say) Edward VII, go for it.

Let's start with...oh, I don't know...Henry Ford

Maybe Michael Gambon for Edward VII... First name that came to my mind, then when I looked up his resume I noticed he is playing George V in a film about the early years of the future George VI...

EDIT: And he did play Edward VII in a 2003 TV movie... so much for trying to look smart just picking the most likely individual from the Harry Potter films... :p

Anyway, I guess it doesn't help as far as Henry Ford.

John Goodman would make a great Howard Taft.

Kelsey Grammer would make a good William McKinley.

Robin Williams did a bang-up job as T.R. in Night at the Museum, so I figure he'd still do a pretty good job otherwise.

Not exactly sure on who to cast as Woodrow Wilson.

That's downright eerie: I was thinking the same thing. Give Cage the right pince-nez glasses and lighten his hair somewhat, and he'd be spot on for Wilson.

How about Will Smith as Scott Joplin? And Morgan Freeman as Booker T. Washington? Rosie O'Donnell as Emma Goldman?
