The Sea Harrier was evolved from the original RAF Harrier that was navalised, lightened etc.
What if the a Sea Harrier II version was developed from the RAF's "Big Wing" Harrier II instead of the FRS-2 that came out in the '90's.
Would the new wing allow any increase in overall performance, range etc?
Would BAe be able to make it light enough to be used on the "Invincible" class?
