PC/WI:RN Type 42 Destroyer with Dutch "Broomstick" 3D radar.

When the British were trying to sell SeaDart to the Dutch they said they would purchase the Dutch "broomstick" radar for the Type 42 destroyer class.

Both events didn't happen as the Dutch said SeaDart was too labour intensive for their needs.

What if the RN purchased "Broomstick" anyway for their fleet of Type 42 destroyers?

How would this perform on the Type 42?

Would it improve the combat effectiveness of the Type 42's in the Falklands?

I thought the Type 988 Broomstick was tied up with the CVA01 and Type 82 DLG, rather than the Type 42 DDG and the fallback in the event of its cancellation was an electronically scanned version of the old Type 984 3D radar known as the Type 985.

The Type 1022 radar on the Invincibles and Batch 2 Type 42s is a Dutch LW 08 with a British antenna, this had much better low level and clutter performance than the Type 965 AKE2.
