PC/WI: Large-scale immigration to the U.S. from other Third World countries in the 19th century?

In our TL, before the U.S. closed its doors to them in 1882, we had large numbers of Chinese immigrate to the United States in the 19th century. In addition to this, we also had some immigration from the Ottoman Empire to the U.S. in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. (Also, large numbers of East Asians immigrated to Hawaii--which became a part of the U.S. in 1898--in the late 19th and early 20th century.)

Anyway, what I am curious about is this--are there any additional Third World countries or colonies from which the U.S. could have realistically experienced large-scale immigration in the 19th and/or early 20th centuries? Also, if so, exactly which countries are you thinking of here?

Any thoughts on this?

Perhaps a large scale migration of indentured labourers from India to the US after the end of the Civil War to replace the slaves with extremely cheap, slave-like labour? Grim, I know, but it happened in Fiji, it could possibly work in the US - however there is a larger distance involved in the transport of the migrants.
Also, maybe somehow get a greater proportion of 19th/20th century immigrants from the Ottoman Empire to be Turks or Arabs rather than Greeks or Christians.
There could be a greater exchange of population between the Philippines and the United States after becoming a US colony.

Or better, Indian immigrants could migrate to newly formed states, following the footsteps of the Chinese, in Washington state, Nevada, Colorado. Some large scale Philippino migration is also possible. Also, it would be cool, tough hard, to see a large-scale Arab immigration from the Ottoman Empire, maybe an earlier Turkish nationalism?

Mexicans? Central Americans? Dominicans?

Not enough people to be relevant.

That's OTL. Christian Arabs migrated en masse to the Americas after constant pogroms during the 19th century.

One plausible scenario that I can think is the promotion mass migration of Indians and Chinese as indentured servants to the southern plantations in order to maintain wages down as slavery is abolished.

A sizeabele Hindu population would be interesting. Tere probably would be amny Hindu festivals in many towns until today.

The Latin American populations of the Caribbean basin are the most probable sources of immigration, but their populations were relatively small in the 19th century.
