PC/WI Land based TigerDart & TigerWolf Systems

WILDGEESE

Gone Fishin'
As you may or may not know the Uk's first generation short range naval SAM SeaCat was developed for land based service and called TigerCat.

Does anyone have any information if B.A. Dynamics toyed with the idea of both SeaDart & SeaWolf being developed for land use like SeaCat, as possible TigerDart & TigerWolf?

I'm thinking that like Rapier, they would be firstly static based systems until funds were made available to develop a mobile system on a tracked chassis such as Rapier.

If developed, how would these perform?

How would these systems compare with Rapier?

Would Rapier be kicked into touch and left as stillborn?

How effective would these systems be in the Falklands?

Regareds filers.

Abstracted straight from Wikipedia re. land based Sea Dart:

Guardian was a proposed land-based system of radars, control stations and a box-launched version of Sea Dart proposed in the 1980s for use as a land-based air defence system for the Falkland Islands. A similar lightweight box-launched version was also proposed for small naval craft.
As for a Rapier replacement, not really, as anything based off Sea Dart would be in a heavier weight class and longer range. It's more of an area defence system replacing the likes of Bloodhound.
