PC/WI: Great Syrian Revolt succeeds

Is there any way to make the Syrian Rebellion of 1925-27, against french rule, succeed in estabilishing an independent syrian state?
If we can make this happen, then what are the consequences of this over Syria and the middle east? Will Syria become a monarchy, a federal republic (to appease its multiple factions), or will it dissolve into multiple states due to infighting?

Honestly, I just don't see this happen. For a rebellion like that you need outside help from somebody willing to supplies you in equipment, amunition, etc... and there was none of that around for the rebels.

In addition, the very fragmentation of Syria made it easy for the french to get some local auxilaries and I'd wager that if the rebels started to do a bit too well the Brits would intervene to prevent revolutionary contagion.

Some interesting aspects would be that France would keep control over the coast. I could see Hatay and Alawite State merged into one state, likely with their border push eastward into the Alawite populated mountain of Hama and Homs governates.
