WILDGEESE
Gone Fishin'
Graphene is a new so called "wonder material" that per volume is 200 times stronger, and 44% of the weight of steel .
What if certain military weapons were made from this Graphene?
What would be the pro's and cons from using this material?
eg 1. A MBT/APC. The whole shell/body plus the engine. How would these perform compared to other tanks/apc's? How would you go about destroying one of these?
eg 2. WARPLANES/TRANSPORT/TANKERS. The whole air-frame plus turbine blades of the engine. How would these perform compared to other aircraft? How would you go about destroying one of these?
eg 3. WARSHIPS inc. SUBS. All, if not most of the structure. How would these perform compared to other warships? Again, how would you go about destroying/sinking one of these vessels?
I'm at a loss for any idea's about combating these weapons as i'm presuming most guns and missiles would be useless. Nuclear weapons are my obvious choice but as everyone know's there is a downside with radiation etc from collateral damage.
Cheers filers.
