PC/WI: Flooding of Dead Sea in 60's or 70's

WILDGEESE

Gone Fishin'
As it says on the tin.

What if the Dead Sea was flooded with sea water via a canal from the Red Sea at Eliat in the 60' or 70's?

What would the environmental impacts be?

Would the climate locally be changed?

Would it create a more temperate climate to live in?

Regards filers

It would destroy the dead sea’s ecosystem by contaminating it’s water with normal sea saltwater.

Even the Suez Canal and the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal, as well as the St Lawrence Seaway, have created major problems, and that was without directly FILLING a huge area.
