The prototype that was cancelled through lack of UK support.

What if the UK supported this aircraft instead of the multinational EFA (Typhoon)?

How more capable if any would this aircraft be against the Rafale or Typhoon?

Would a navy development be possible for the RN's present day QE class?

Regards filers.

It looks quite small and light, so I'm not sure how its payload would be for fuel and weapons. Assuming it has thrust vectoring engines, it would probably be competitive as a dogfighter against the Typhoon and Rafale. But it would suffer at longer ranges (that small nose doesn't allow a large radar to be fitted, and there's no sign of an IRST fitting.

As for a naval development, that would have to be designed in from the start (with the land version being a denavalised edition). I don't see any reason it should be impossible, but that'll add weight to a design which is already on the small side.
