First, we are assuming for the purpose of this thread that the Tanakh/Bible/Koran are all man-made documents with no actual divine inspiration (though the founders might THINK there are) behind them. Ye be warned.

With that out of the way, what if some of the early founders of the Abrahamic trio of religions had a different attitude? Instead of "be fruitful and multiply," they decided that living for reproduction was something that animals did. Yes, it was important for a culture to have kids and continue, but it wasn't the single most important thing, and those who thought that way were like animals obsessed with "breeding."

With that outlook, they then decide that homosexuals are closer to God and farther away from animals, since they are plainly not obsessed with breeding, and decides that instead of persecuted as they are in OTL, they should be venerated.

Is this plausible? And what kind of butterflies would result?
