Not perhaps historical but the Bible isn't hard history anyway.
That's quite the issue. Jonhatan and David can't be homosexual because the Bible record was written in a way preventing it.
Even if you had historical Jonatan and David charchters, it wouldn't change the Bible account of event as it was written in a quite defined set of mind.
If they were homosexuals, it would simply not being recorded.
Again, this story is the illustration of abrahamic principles and not the cause of it. For changing theses principles it's about changing hebraic society, maybe in a more hellenised way with the defeat of the traditionalist party during the II century, forcing the rise of an hellenized Judaism that would interpret Jonatan and David being homosexual.
