PC/WI: A United European Flag Carrier? More A380's ordered?

As it says on the tin

What if (excluding the UK) the EU allowed or urged the nations 'flag carriers' to join into one mega-carrier?

Would this allow more A380's to be ordered? as in grouping together 767/777/A330 size flights?

Short answer, no. The A380 was almost hilariously badly timed. It was introduced to serve a model of air travel that was becoming obsolete (hub and spoke). Passengers generally don't want to be sardined into a single 600 passenger plus daily flight. They're rather have two or three daily flights to choose from. Not to mention, the A380 only really works serving capacity constrained airports when there are no other options available to increase capacity.
