this wouldn't be the first time in developing my modern Aztecs that i've borrowed elements from a completely different culture to make them seem more real, even if it makes them look more fake to the very-well informed and observant--i've actually borrowed a fair number of Korean elements for them, too, though it mostly amounts to their military equipment in following the Spanish Conquest through to the present-day (can you say Aztec hwacha and turtleship?)
