PC: Successful Bourbon Restoration in 1795

With no PoDs prior to the spring of noted year, how could efforts by French royalists to take power in France (in the interim between the Terror and the Directory) have been successful? If it is plausible, what would be the effects of this (and of the needed PoD)?

Not too plausible at this point. Louis XVI is long dead, Robespierre has fallen, Paris and France was running blood red with the Terror, Bonaparte is on the rise, and so on.

Best hope is before 1795, at a victory of the Prussians and Austrians at Valmy. It would be a unthinkable blow to the Revolution, and the National Convention. (OTL, the victory call on the Freach Republic two days later.)

That, or have the 13 Vendémiaire be much more successful could mean something.

That, as well as the Invasion of Quiberon, was along the lines of what I was thinking; basically could royalist efforts in 1795 have been successful, given the context of the year in question (aftermath of Thermidor, etc)?

Maybe, but I think the next big issue is the Royalist and Bourbon doing what they did OTL after Napoleon if they come back into power, and act like the Revolution never happen, and that did not work out so well for the Bourbon.

Or the Royalists still get they ass kick in.

The French Revolution is just so long, and complex, anything could have gone in any other way.
