PC. Shirley Bassey sings all the Bond film themes?

For James Bond followers and fans.

Shirley Bassey did 3 Bond themes, "Goldfinger", "Diamonds are Forever" and "Moonraker"

After hearing Shirley Bassey's cover version of Pink's "Let's get this party started" on the radio ( which I originally thought was the theme tune to "Casino Royale" until I heard Chris Cornell's "Do you know my name", I think they missed a trick in "Casino Royale" with Daniel Craig.

I'm thinking of Let's get this party started playing as Craig walks into the Casino via the steps, then Bond walks to the bar after giving the opposition the once over then as the song finishes in it's cresendo, Craig turns around and says those immortal words "Vodka Martini, shaken not stirred".

What events would allow you to get Shirley Bassey to sing all the Bond themes?

...I'm sorry, but that's terrible. That sounds like a sub-Brosnan-film idea, and it wouldn't fit Royale's tone at all.

However, in more plausible (and pleasant) PODs, Bassey did originally sing an early version of Thunderball's theme, "Mr. Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang"; however, she was swapped out for Dionne Warwick's version (who was, in turn, swapped out again perilously close to the release date after the producers decided they wanted the title to be in the theme, and was replaced by Tom Jones and "Thunderball") -- you could have them keep Bassey, making this her second Bond theme in a row, and have this be a precedent of her continuing for the rest of the '60s depending on availability...

(As an addendum, the theme for Casino Royale is "You Know My Name"; he's not asking a question, he's saying you already KNOW who he is.)

I'm a big fan, and the only Bond theme song that I sing is Goldfinger, in Welsh, but McCartney did a lovely job on Live and Let Die. Not every Bond theme is a winner, just as not every Bond is the real Bond.

Jesus, I didn't know that, fair play I learn something new every day.

Sorry about "You Know My Name" it was a typo error. Just come back from a school reunion (89 class and bladdered).

I'm gutted, I thought Craig entering Casino Royale to Bassey's "Let's get this party started" was a bang on idea! lols
