PC: NK Victourious?

Oh, if the USA is desperate and ornery enough they have several million veteran and battle hardened troops just across the Tsushima Straits they can call on.

All they would have to do is reunite them with their weapons and equipment, and pardon their officers.

'Course that most diffinitely piss off most of Asia, and unleash a blizzard of butterlies.

But if the alternative is Korea going Red, it's a road I can see the USA taking at that point in time.

does the USA plan on necromancy on the elite IJA/IJN in the jungle or equipping the starving green soldiers of late War Japan? The military of late war Japan was starving, let alone combat worthy.

How about the demobilized 700,000 troops from the former Chinese front?

Yeah but by late war most of the trained troops were pulled out for the Pacific or to defend the home islands. The replacements were never prioritized for training or equipment and were at best garrison quality, it wasn't a problem since the KMT didn't have much in term of offensive capability.

Not sure how the North Koreans are supposed to 'keep pushing' when they didn't have enough supplies to keep going. That was why they waited for supplies to catch up.

Indeed. One of the reasons that the North's campaign failed was that their logistics still fell short, despite their best efforts.

don't expect them to, better KPA training and organizing better logistics aren't Soviet dependent, they could simply wait longer to stock up. They can however buy Soviet naval mines, low tech, up to 40 years old and yet quite effectively naval wise.

They are entirely dependent upon Soviet support, I strongly urge you to read the KIMH history's section on the early party life in the DPRK and the preparations for war in the context of the failure of the initial guerilla insurgency plans, and why and how they were equipped with the limited professional army that suited their needs rather than their desires.

Waiting longer to stock up doesn't apply when you're receiving all your supply as military aid.

Buying Soviet equipment doesn't apply when you're receiving all your supply as military aid.

Why can't military aid be increased ? Why can't the Soviets decide to give the KPA naval mines?

Also what is this KIMH your quoting? A quick google shows an interior designer and other miscellaneous sites.

NK may force the Americans off the peninsula for a while (if they're really really lucky), but they'll never be victorious, The allies will just D-Day them, regain the foothold, and force them back up.
