PC: Far-right, fascist, non-Nazi party rises to power in the Weimar Republic

Is it possible for a non-Nazi fascist party, with an ideology similar to that of Mussie's Italy, and not led by Hitler, to rise to power democratically somewhere during the 20's or 30's? Or is there something special about the Nazis that helped them getting elected?

Probably not fascism, though I suppose The DNVP could count http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_National_People's_Party
But I find it far more likely that the old regime, your royalists and general, launch a right-wing coup.

You'd probably get almost exactly a Spanish Civil War scenario, then, since without the Nazis' populism, long ground game and pseudo-democratic rise, these conservatives will be resisted by the Communists and SPD.
