PC: Bavarian Soviet Republic?

Very little. They are so far away for support and appear to go out of their way to do harm to themselves.

They have no near by allies and very close to the German counter revolutionaries

Bavaria is a 'conservative' german kingdom relatively partially due to it being less industrialized I believe meaning more freikorps there.

Warsie, the less industrialized a state is, the easier it is to turn Communist.

China, Mongolia, Russia, Vietnam, Somalia, Cuba, Eastern Europe, etc.

The reds in Russia had almost all of there support from the cities, Mongolia and Eastern Europe were only communist because of the Red Army, Cuba and Vietnam went communist because the U.S. didn't like them and the soviets were the only other game in town, and Somalia was communist only insomuch as it was a russian client.

China went communist on the strength of the rural peasantry, but maoism has some rather important theoretical differences with orthodox marxism.

All that is besides the point anyway, in interwar germany the cities were, as a rule FAR more radicalized then the country-side.

Surrounded by enemies, viewed as an "exporter" of its radical ideology, that lot's lifespan is measured in days and months, not years.
