PC/AHC: Is it possible for some of the Warsaw Pact states to stay Communist in 1989?

I'm curious, is it really possible for any of the Warsaw Pact states to remain 1-party Communist States during the events of 1989? If so how?

Rules:
1.) Gorbachev is still in power. So there is no possibility of a Soviet military intervention.
2.) You may use a "Chinese Solution" to keep the Communists in power so long as it doesn't involve Soviet Units.
3.) You can enter Vlad Tapes territory (i.e. Ceausescu goes the way of Qaddafi or Assad.)
4.) How does this impact the dissolution of the USSR?

P.S. This is my first post! I a'int a lurker no more!:):D:cool:

From a generational stagnation perspective, many Eastern European citizens would have been better off remaining communist.
Let's start at the top with communist bureaucrats who grew fat dumb and happy under communist rule. A few of the brightest simply re-badged as capitalist managers or democratic politicians.

Secondly, older workers who were too old to learn newer skills.

Finally, the bottom rung of society (e.g. pensioners) fared better under communism. Millions lost their meagre pensions when the Berlin Wall collapsed.
