PC: A joint German-Soviet invasion of Poland, but without Nazism

What about Czechslovakia ? the most i can see No nazi goverment doing is very strongly lean on czechoslovakia to give German minority better treatment.
How much better treatment can Czechoslovakia give to Germans though. Germans in Czechoslovakia had full range of schools, from elementary to Universities, publications including newspapers were punlished, there was more officers of German nationality in Czechoslovak army then Slovaks and lastly, German politicians served in variouse Czechoslovak governments as Ministers!

On other side not much love existed between Polish and Czechoslovak governments.

Only other option is Federalization of Czechoslovakia into Czech and Slovak republic with autonomy for Germans, Hungarians. Question is if to give autonomy to Poles and what to do with Ruthenia. Autonomy or Federal republic?

I am curiouse thoug what woul be reaction by Moravians ans Silesians. Read somewhere that at the time they themselves identify bit less as pure Czechs. There was even some Moravian sentiment towards identifying themselves as Moravians in early 90-ties before Klaus and Meciar managed to break Federation without referendum.

Federation might just work and with it coming fairly early it might not break up.
Still certainly better That kind of breakup than the Yugoslavia version.

Probably it may. Idea of Czechoslovakism didn't do much good. Czechoslovakia itself despite mich lower say of Slovaks in politics, end loss of production in Slovakia in early 20-ties was benefited Slovaks on cultural and educational side greatly. There are few other things which could be done better - involving Slovaks in military, police, government offices after training by despatched Czech officials. OTL in 30-ties large number of Czech officials in Slovakia while new trained and graduated Slovaks had hard time tomfind the jobs did a lot to push many towards support of independence.
Maybe if Stefanik didn't died...

But with rise of Hitler and his propaganda, plus economic crisis it was hard to avoid Czechoslovak Germans act the way they did.

I do not argue on last part. Heard Croat saying he can't understand how we managed to break Federation without war. But well there were pretty clear erhnic lines. Slovaks who moved to Czech parts were quickly Bohemized and it actually worked same way other way around too. Movement to Slovakia was on much lower side as salleries were much better in Czech parts even during communists.

well the salaries part might be part of what Slovaks resented. industry being concentrated in Bohemian part of Czechslovakia. The problem With Czechoslovakism was that it wanst merge but it was more Bohemizing slovaks.

Well in early 20-ties whatever industry in Slovakia (and Slovakia actually was one of largely industraliazed area of Hungarian kingdom) went under due to loss of markets after break up of R-U. Slovak manufacturers were also in disatventage due different tariffs of Czechoslovak railways - leftover of R-U sustem I guess. For strategic reasons heavy industry was placed into Slovakia since 30-ties. In 1988 aleeady Communist realized industry placed in Slovakia especially heavy weapons manufacturing was drain on Czechoslovak economy. They couldn't downsize for political reasons. And that's I guess why Klaus didn't defend Czechoslovakia to strongly.

As to Czechoslovakism. Maybe but they went strange way with it. By creating Slovaks schools and giving room for Slovak culture you don't make your life easier if you want to assimilate Slovaks. ;) But yes in the army in government offices Czech was language of communication, Slovak being suppressed. Even Slovak member of Czechoslovak RAF squadrons had that problem.

Only true Czechoslovak however was Gustav Husak. Him mixing Czech and Slovak in one sentense becoming hero of many jokes.

Mix of cultures in unavoidable in common state and actually was going on constantly even before. On other side Czechs lands and Slovaks were in one state together for centuries before Czechoslovakia was created.
