ehm, the conquest are not a bit too rushed? I don't really see a so young italian state ( which has to be consolidated) capable to conquer Granada and to embark into America's colonization. Also England ruled from Paris? I don't think that's really in the realm of possibility (yes most english nobles spoke french, but the Hundred Years' War changed that).

A very interesting aspect is a thriving occitan state.

Man i love this TL I am a EU 3 fan and a long time ago well last year some time i was thinking what if Italy some how formed early and instead of Spain using Christopher italy or Milan as i wanted to use Milan to unite Italy and man did you do it. Also just a few months ago i was think about if England won the hundred years war how would the new empire look and you also have done that man this is crazy. Well great story and awesome ideas hahah as they are also mine. but to tell the truth i never thought to combine the two.

Also I wanted to know if it was historical possible to think that Milian could formed Italy early and also collinized before spain and the rest of Europe. Or if it was big enough to explore and collonize then later formed Italy. Also how would they go by doing this. Milian would first have to become powerful or Rich to expand in the first place then they would need a close port maybe the Aferican Cost and Granada like you said but how to stop Castile or Spain. War with Aragon.. Historical thats impossible as they are too powerful for Milian to beat alone? Hum.. well i keep reading and maybe i figue something out unless i could get help here...maybe I will ask...Hum.. will this go as far as a EU3 full game to ARR to AH TL of my own... hhaha .

Now that you down it this way i must think of a new idea hhaha well thanks for the great story again and sorry for the long post it is just wired that i am not alone in my ideas.:)

Now off to see how i could manipulate EU 3 HTTT into doing this.;)

Opps PS: Is this also from EU3 like someone said earlier?
I am addicted to EU3 actually

I don't think that's really in the realm of possibility (yes most english nobles spoke french, but the Hundred Years' War changed that).

The Valois are defeated in this TL, I posted another TL based on this where in the Occitan Valois state merges with Castille forming Spain.

In 1580, the Italo Burgundian Empire and Hungary start the Reconquista of the Balkans and the Anatolia, the Italo-Burgundian Armies defeat the Ottoman Armies in Serbia and Southern Romania thus Serbia and Southern Romania were added to Hungary..

I decided to revise the TL a bit, I put the Courtenays in the picture.

Earlier Unification of Italy
Joan of Arc was defeated captured by the force of the English on Orleans and the English and Burgundian forces devastate the Orleans in 1427 thus causing it's inhabitants to submit to the Plantagenet Dynasty of France and the French military was defeated by the force of Burgundy and England, thus the Valois retreat and the Lancastrians enter France and sends a large force to destroy the French resistance completely, The Valois retrated to Provence which is under a Valois dynasty and Dauphine was incorporated to Provence while Lyonais slipped to the Burgundians, the English thought they won but whoever wins the Plantagenets or Valois they lose.

In 1440 The Valois especially Rene of Provence concentrated on their disputes with Aragon and Savoy because of their territorial claims, the Valois and Visconti plotted against Savoy, so after the plot Savoy was annexed to Milan and defeat the Trastamara on Aragon which caused the County of Barcelona, Sicily and Sardinia to fall under Valois hands, In 1445, Margarida(Margarita) de Valois and Francesco Sforza are married in order to secure an alliance of Milan and Provence and Margarida had Sicily and Naples as dowry and now Milan and Naples have merged as a single kingdom.

The Savoy family were granted Sardinia by the Valois.

Margarita bears a son with Francesco who would inherit both Sicily and Milan and his name is Francesco II Sforza from his father now the new dynasty dominating Italy is Sforza-Valois..

Milan-Sicily and Provence are disliked by the Anglo-French Kingdom and England is now ruled by the French Plantagenet King from Paris..

Henry VI now started to rule France and England as a result of the Plantagenet Victory but he is very worried of the Kingdoms to the South East..

In 1471, Henry VI marries Blanche II of Navarre.

But there are still some problem duchies and the Papal state that threaten the integrity of the new state.

Provence and Milan-Sicily are allies against the Anglo French Empire which was at odds with Navarre..

Francesco II Sforza has a problem the other Italian states and the Papal states and how to subdue them so that Italy can be united and later Francesco II Sforza meets Cristoforo Columbo in 1470, a fugitive from the Republic of Genoa.

The Anglo-French Empire has inherited Navarre but meanwhile Charles Valois a pretender to the French throne marries Princess Isabella of Castille starting a Valois Castille.

Columbo says to Francesco II, there is a west route to the indies and have him fund his exploration to the Americas..

Francesco II invades the Sultanate of Granada and annexes it which irritates castille and invades the Canary Islands.

Colombo lands in OTL Hispaniola in 1492...*

In 1493, Francesco II took Joana of Castille from the convent and married her on Milan and made her his consort.

In 1494, the Anglo-French start an exploration and steal OTL Hispaniola from Milan-Naples, now the Anglo-French Empire has an edge over Milan-Naples but the pope desides to make the treaty of Paris that divides the world on where they can the two colonize.

Milan-Naples attacks Ancona,Modena, Ferrara and Romagna gaining more territory in Italy in 1500.

In 1500, the Kingdom of Granada was given to Castille via purchase from Milan-Naples because of the request of Provence in exchange for their help in the seige of Ancona,Modena, Ferrara and Romagna.

The Savoy family was granted Sardinia by the Valois, Provence becomes the center of the Catalano-Occitan culture.

Naples and Milan are already united geographically and united politically by the Sforza dynasty although they keep Tuscany as an ally.

Giancarlo, son of Joana of Castille or Giovanna di Castiglia and Francesco II, was elected as the Holy Roman Emperor because of the insistence of Provence in 1502.
King John(Joan) Valois of Provence, an ally of Giancarlo was very happy that Giancarlo was the Holy Roman Emperor.

GianCarlo married the sister of John of Provence in 1502 named Maria.

In Asia, in the mean time the seige of Selurong from Tondo, the seat of the Lakans was unsuccessful because of Malacca’s help, this means Luzon is not vulnerable to colonization and Dayang Kaylangitan is married to a Malaccan noble in 1500, The Hongzhi Emperor was known to be monogamous and known to be very righteous even in Europe and the attempts of Portugal at gaining influence in India was unsuccessful at this point.

Occitan became more prestigious in Europe because of King Joan Valois, the grandson of Nicolas of Provence and Lorraine and son of King Rene(Rainier) II of Provence, the crown of Upper Lorraine was given to the uncle of King John Valois of Provence named Edouard, King Giancarlo has two daughters, Mariana and Adelada, the eldest Mariana was married to Carlo the Fair, son of Philip the fair and Alienor Valois(the cousin of Joan Valois and, the only daughter of King Edouard Valois of Lorraine, the brother of King Rene II of Provence) which resulted to the Habsburgs inheriting Upper Lorraine which resulted to it’s incorporation to the Austro-Burgundian domains of the Habsburgs.
The marriage of GianCarlo and Maria produced only daughters, his eldest, Matilda was married to the grandson of Mary of Burgundy and Maximilian of Austria in 1519 while Adelada was married to the brother of King Charles II Valois of Castille, named Rene because of the marriage between Mariana and Carlo Habsburg which later resulted in the merger of Milan-Naples and the Austro Burgundian domains of the Hapsburgs.

In this time King Henry VI’s son, King Edward of France, England and Navarre was poisoned leaving behind two daughters in 1500 named Alix and Marie, Alix was married to Philip Courtenay while Marie was married to King Charles II Valois of Castille, now the Anglo-French Empire is now under the Bourbons now King Charles Bourbon is now the King of the Anglo-French Empire thus the Capetians were restored in 1515 by the marriage ofAlix and Charles, the son of Philip, Philip VII became known as a wise king of England and France.

Marie Stuart of Scotland was married to the grandson of Charles named Philip VIII the King of England And France or the Anglo-French Empire, the son of King Charles II causing Scotland to fall to the Courtenays after.

In the meantime, Francis, a descendant of Ferdinand of Aragon and Germaine De Foix rules Valencia and Aragon whose only daughter named Maria was married to the Savoyard King of Sardinia named Vittorio in 1520..

King Raymond(Ramon) Valois the King of Provence was known as the wise King of Limousines in his own domains, Mallorca, Provence, Dauphine Viennois and Barcelona in 1520 after the death of King John(Joan) of Provence he was succeeded later on by King Raymond(Ramon) II Valois later on.

Carlo Hapsburg divides the inheritance of the Hapsburg Empire to his two sons, Antonio and Frederick in 1560, the result is Antonio is given Burgundy and the Italian possesions while Frederick is given the low countries and Lorraine which includes OTL Lillie and Picardy, Frederick later renames his kingdom Lotharingia.

The Hapsburgs are planning to move the current pope to the new land colonized by the Anglo-French empire and replace it with another pope creating another papacy.
Switzerland is seen by the Hapsburgs as a obstacle in their empire building and the Hapsburgs were irritated of them.

The Italo-Burgundian Empire(Hapsburg) declares a war on Switzerland in 1570 and the population of Hispaniola is decimated by diseases introduced by the conquistadors from the Anglo-French Empire.

In 1580, the Italo-Burgundian Empire annexes Switzerland completely regaining their old land that they lost.

The Italo Burgundian Empire seizes back Colombia or from the Anglo French Empire, (Hispaniola is called Colombia in this tl), Colombia is gained and the Italo-Burgundian Empire annexes Rome and exhiles to pope to Colombia.

The Valois clan of Provence and Spain gets extinct in 1600 because both the Clans get extinct because both Raymond of Provence had only daughters the same is for King Charles Philip of Castille and because of that the Bourbons get the the Bourbons get Spain and Provence-Aragon and the Bourbons war with the Courtenays because they want to install a Habsburg in Spain and because of that Aurvegne and the County of Toulouse are annexed by the Bourbons,.

Philip Charles Bourbon becomes the king of Spain(Provence, Aragon, Catalonia, Toulouse, Aurvegne, and Castille) styling himself as King Philip Charles I.
The Italo-Burgundian Hapsburgs, especially King Maximilian I of Burgundy-Italy were happy that Philip Charles is king of Spain and Philip Charles ejects the Savoy from Valencia.

The Italo-Burgundian Empire tells the Venetian doge to abdicate in 1580 and Venice is added to the Italo-Burgundian Empire, the Italo Burgundian Empire seizes back Colombia or from the Anglo French Empire, (Hispaniola is called Colombia in this tl), Colombia is gained and the Italo-Burgundian Empire annexes Rome and exiles the pope to Colombia.

Man, this is so much ASB ... we Venetians fought against a coalition made up of all the main powers of continental Europe, eventually splitting it to our advantage, why on Earth would the Republic surrender without fighting ?!

A Valois as Doge is also completely ASB, only Venetian noblemen in the Golden Book could have been elected to the high office and most surely the Doge wasn't a patrimonial ruler.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to call ASB on this one as well, with my deepest apologies as it seems like a really cool timeline. I like seeing a surviving Anglo-French Empire and one where Italy does well as well. My ASB call is on the easy defeat of the Ottomans during this period, as they were at their strongest and you really haven't eliminated the political divisions that allowed the Ottomans to make inroads into Europe (if anything the moving of the Pope (again ASB there) to the new world would make it worse).

I will put more detail in this TL, I missed some details actually, wait till I write more about this timeline.

i would enjoy this thread a hundred times more if it wasn't in Comic Sans
Thanks for the suggestion.

Here is the preview of the next update I am planning, I will focus more on my Lionheart TL.
