Pax Columbia

Hi this is the idea and setting of Pax Columbia, it's about the kingdom of Columbia aka America. The royal family are the Stuarts, now in this setting the Tudors still rule England and are loyal to Catholic church in fact that Lutherism was supressed and really went underground. Henry the VIII stayed married to First wife and had son from her that survived, now I don't know how the Tudors would treat the American colonies but I do know that they have issues with the Kingdom of Scotland, I need the house of Stuart to become the ruling house of american kingdom of Columbia.

The Hasburg family is devided in this setting into two main branches Spanish and Austrian, this is from Charles the V

Will Scotland remain independent of England or will a Tudor king marry a daughter of the King of Scots who through sad and unfortunate circumstances becomes queen (or vise-versa), thus joining the crowns in a personal union)? If Scotland can establish viable colonies in the "New World" then someday a few centuries down the road the Stuart King of Scots could organize those colonies into a kingdom and be its king, much like QE-2 is Queen of Canada. In what century are you wishing to see the Stuarts establish themselves as the rulers of a kingdom in America? BTW, are you aware of how astronomically unlikely it is that there will be a Kingdom of Columbia of in TTL? Something along the lines of Scotia, Alba, Carrick, or Inver-"something" would be more likely. Now, Columba would be doable, in honor of St. Columba; or, if you wanted to be creative, you could use invent a name, like Alpina - honoring Kenneth MacAlpin, or Brucellia - honoring Robert Bruce.

Well in this world the Tudors stayed Catholic and Henry VIII stayed married to first wife since she gave him the son he wanted, and Luther and his Protestantism have bin forced underground and it goes with this setting hand and hand with nationalism.

As for the kingdom of Coulumbia the name was gleamed from the Arrowsmith comic, now the crown as offered to the royal house of stuart by the original 13 colonies to protect them from Tudor supression. In my mind the Tudors did war with the Scots and Irish during there rein, I have no clue what the original 13 American colonies would look like or be named,

Um I have no clue as for the fate of the Netherlands and kingdom of the Dutch, and there Protestant nation. Since it was originally the Spanish Netherlands and under hapsburg control and rule.

Fascinating idea. I had ideas on Henry, Duke of Cornwall surviving myself but haven't fully developed much beyond desultory war with France and a closer relationship with Charles V.

Do you know of the Butterfly Effect? Also, comic books are not good places to glean anything from for a serious, non-ASB timeline.

I need to know what Catholic Tudor ruled England would look like in 1930's, also Catholic Europe as well. Imperial Russia is still ruled by the there autocratic ruler the tsar,

The Kingdom of Columbia has the Guilded Age version of age of Deco and Streamlining as well, this world hasn't yet suffer from WW1 the war the ushered in modern world and goverments. It made the comomon person to pull down the old order, such as the ruling class the bluebloods.

Would the 1930's version of the Calthloic church still be corrupt?, I mean that why Luther rebeled and caused Protestantism to take root.

In this setting Protestantism and what caused 1848 year of revolt has bin driven underground, Solicism and Red groups are also lumped together as great evils.

One more time ...

The House of Tudor still ruling England after 500 years?
A Kingdom of Columbia in North America?
A Protestant led year of revolt in 1848 Europe?
Socialism and "Red" groups?
Deco, streamlining and World War I?
All with a POD in the 1520's?

Butterflies man, butterflies!
