Patriot Defeat After French Entry?

Were there any windows for the American Patriots to lose the revolution following the French entry into the revolution? I know a defeat at Saratoga would keep the French out of the war and likely lead to their defeat, but were there any moments following French intervention that could've caused the revolution to falter?

Sure. If the French Navy hadn't gotten lucky, they wouldn't have been able to provide effective support. More accurately, if the British had gotten lucky (like timely intelligence), the French Navy would have been toast.
To be fair, the French had a clever scheme to sneak much of their Navy across, but it was very risky.

my understanding is that once France and Spain entered the fray actively, the Patriots fought not to lose. Thus, theyt chose to stay out of major battles if they could help it.

Not sure of the timing off the top of my head, but Washington wanted to attack British forces in NYC, but was talked out of it by (I think) Lafayette. That could have gone horribly wrong.

The British southern strategy was waylaid by a fairly major defeat (one of the Carolinas?), sending British forces scurrying northward. I'm really fuzzy on the details, but perhaps a reversal of fortune there puts Britain on better footing.
