So there was a short-lived television show aired on National Education Television in 1964 called Past Imperfect.
It was hosted by the journalist, Eric Larrabee, and featured historians and other scholars, such as Arthur Schlesinger Jr. and Susan Sontag, commenting on a variety of counterfactual premises.
