OK, so I'm going to give writing a timeline an initial shot. This particular timeline features alternate post-seasons of Major League Baseball. Our POD is 1994; in this world, there is no MLB strike in that year, and the playoffs are held as scheduled.
Differences:
In each league, the three divisional champions qualify for the post-season, along with the top two non-divisional champ teams. The teams are then seeded based on record.
The playoff format is as follows: winner-take-all wild card game, best of five LDS, best of seven LCS, best of seven World Series.
In this timeline, Milwaukee is in the AL Central, and Houston the NL West.
Home field advantage in the World Series goes to the team with the better regular season record.
For the purposes of this world, the Montreal Expos never move to Washington.
Anyways....I think I'm about ready to kick this thing off!
