As we know well, pope Alexander VI divided the non-Xian world between Spain and Portugal in the treaty of Tordesillas, 1495.
However, WI Alex had demanded a share of the world for the Papal state, since he a) was the leader of Xianity, having a right for 10%, b) was the "fair negotiator" and c) anyway (let's not forget, he's a Borgia).
Let's say, the pope gets some lands that will form a buffer state between the Spanish and Portuguese lands. Since the border was supposed to be 1,770 km west of the Cape Verde Islands, let's rule that he gets the Guayanas, the central third of today's Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and a bit of Argentina. Plus, Newfoundland after it gets discovered. And since the Earth is a ball, he also gets some lands in the other half: That would be Manchuria, Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, and parts of Indonesia, Australia and Siberia (ok, theoretically).
What would happen afterwards? Would the Jesuites form an ideal Catholic utopia somewhere?
