Owens Sprains Ankle, Glickman and Stroller Win Gold

Owens sprains his ankle at the finish of the 200 and comes in second to Mack Robinson (Jackie's older brother). He finishes the Olympics with two golds and a silver. Glickman and Stoller are not replaced and go on to win gold as part of the 4x100 relay. Does having Jews and Blacks win gold medals at the Berlin Olympics change anything of significance?

Sorry for the typo in the title. Damn autocorrect!

The German lost the fencing competition to the Hungarian, and the Austrian finished third. The German, Helene Mayer, was the only Jew on the team, and was called back from a California education to compete. She returned to California after the Olympics. Only her father was Jewish. She gave a Nazi salute, as did all others on the German team. The winner, Schacherer, was recognized as the best ever female fencer. She too had a Jewish father. The third place Austrian, Ellen Preis, was Jewish. If you didn't know all this, it might give some indication of the impact of an American Jewish relay runner.
