There was a massive dam and river reversal project planned once:If there's one thing I don't want the Soviet Union do is by ruining the Aral Sea.
So we need to make sure it doesn't happen. There was a massive dam and river reversal project planned once:
Yeah, ive heard of it, but in my opinion the project would lead only to great natural disaster thats why i skipped it completelyMore Canals are always good, also we need to see when and were the best places for such nature altering projects are.

I fear so too, jsut wanted to see what others think ^^Yeah, ive heard of it, but in my opinion the project would lead only to great natural disaster thats why i skipped it completely
No monorailsI was thinking that once the industry has somewhat recovered, we should start developing on monorails as our cities grows, electronics since it'll be very important to us during the Alt. Cold War starts, and of course the soon-to-be space agency once we have rockets.
They don't work as well on switching tracks, they cost more are harder to maintain and also more things going wrong mean you can't simply switch them out like regular trains, it's more complicated. I grew up near a city with one and while they are cool looking especially with their old cars from before 1900 there is also a ton more problems that can go wrong with them sadly because I like them overall too. Maybe Saint Petersburg could have one atop of the channels and rivers? And why not...?
Ah ok but we'll gonna need to find some alternative once traffic becomes a problem. They don't work as well on switching tracks, they cost more are harder to maintain and also more things going wrong mean you can't simply switch them out like regular trains, it's mroe complecated. Subways? They also work fine as bomb shelter if some people might invade?Ah ok but we'll gonna need to find some alternative once traffic becomes a problem.
True, we could also setup hidden base like Area 51 but built either underground in one of the Ural mountains.Subways? They also work fine as bomb shelter if some people might invade?
Agreed, subways not only give the benefits of trains but don't occupy as much space as trains, allowing us more space to build "upstairs"Subways? They also work fine as bomb shelter if some people might invade?
It may be helpful for us but we should also have someone keep an eye on him as well if/when he starts being paranoid. Also, about comrade Stalin, given his knack for persuasion, his ruthlessness and good ability of organization and keeping those underneath him in line, could we have him as head of the NKVD? It would be very useful having someone like him who could not only be useful in sending spies throughout the world but also to counter any potential infiltrators and spies.
Stalin could clearly help out there, but I would only make him a regional head of operations, or the NKVD, as he can use that to build furhter connections and put his Stalinists in position of power were we don't want them. With the USA out of the Dominican Republic (and the occupation of Haiti still going on) anti American sentiment is high in the Hispaniola, could we potentially use that as a way to foster pro communist elements not only in the islands but in the Caribbean in general? I'm sure Cubans aren't exactly crazy for what the Americans are doing in their country either...

Anti-American sentiment at the moment can especially be exploited in the Caribbean and Central America were the Americans still occupy a few nation states and were locals want them mostly gone, as they even have helped despote some legitime governments for their own dictators in the Banana Wars, clearly we can use that to our advantage and oppose them with a few socialist and communist backed movement sof our own there. Comrades, da?It may be helpful for us but we should also have someone keep an eye on him as well if/when he starts being paranoid.
Also we should fully support anti-American sentiment by starting out as propaganda and peaceful rallies but just like Iran, since the US loves to support dictators... we'll do the same thing but in a limited amount though since it's across the world and we don't want alienate too early.
Agreed, while also weakening America's "Monroe Doctrine" so not just us to expand our influence but those from both Europe and Asia but we could also have the socialists and communists with anti war sentiment since America's socialists didn't want to be part the first world war.Anti-American sentiment at the moment can especially be exploited in the Caribbean and Central America were the Americans still occupy a few nation states and were locals want them mostly gone, as they even have helped despote some legitime governments for their own dictators in the Banana Wars, clearly we can use that to our advantage and oppose them with a few socialist and communist backed movement sof our own there.
