A few queries and statements based on the latest map:
I note that British Antarctica has a permanent population of 9,500, in contrast to OTL's 250 during the Summer. Was there not an Antarctic Treaty ITTL? If so, what activities are most of that permanent population engaged in?
And is China still using the Wade-Giles mode of romanisation? I note that their capital is listed as Nanking.
Come to think of it, that does raise some interesting questions. Are there any other places that have retained the older forms of English naming?
I have to say that Ovawambo and Hurueoneo have some bloody good flags. This world may have its faults, but at least the domination of the accursed plain tricolour has been averted.
Unfortunately Socotra's flag appears to have been assembled by the most compromise-ridden committee, in stark contrast to Uganda's. Now that one is a nice British ensign design.
And when did Sri Lanka undergo the official name change from Ceylon?
Regardless of the troubles in Africa, at the very least the Middle East looks less turbulent.
Overall, I very much enjoy hearing about the countries of this world. It all feels very plausible and is generally just fun to look at and read about.
You know, I think I might just get that map printed out to go on my bedroom wall. It is simply schnazzy.
