Otto von Habsburg as King of France

From what I read, the Lorraines are the next in line after the Orleans and the Bourbons, what if a royal restoration was made in France and Otto von Habsburg was chosen as King of France, how would he reign as King Eudes II of France, how would he change the domestic policy of France

Won't happen:

- a restoration of the French monarchy post-1912, Otto's year of birth, is improbable. A defeat in WW I might lead to a restoration, but not with an infant prince of a former enemy.
- There are plenty of candidates to choose from among the Bourbons, both the Orleanist and Legitimist branches. They'd all have to magically die before a Habsburg could have a chance. Even then, there are the Bonapartists, who will be chosen over any foreigners.

I consider the rightful ruler of France to be Emperor Jean Christophe, as he is the heir of his uncle, Napoleon III, who was the most recent monarch of France.

I don't see that happening. French never would allow Austrian monarch and there was much people whose had better claimant than Habsburgs. Restoration of French monarchy after 1900 is possible but not with Habsburgs or it will not last very long.

Not going to happen, even the hardcore monarchists would never support a foreign king taking the throne especially a Habsburg.

No. The Habsburg Lorraine have no link on the male line with french royal families.

That they had this ambition and that they had political supporters is one thing.

The point is that they had no legal claim in a kingdom whose fundamental succession law was had been the Salic law since the middle of the 14th century.
