Otsu Incident POD

Apparently in 1891, Prince George of Greece and Denmark, son of King George I of Greece, accompanied his primo the Tsarevich Nicholas (later known as Tsar Nicholas II) on his voyage to Asia and saved his life from a would-be assassin while visiting Japan, in what became known as the Otsu Incident. Let's say Nicholas II is killed by Tsuda Sanzō. What happens next? And what if Prince George is killed alongside him?

Speculate

Well, obviously Grand Prince Michael would become Tsarevich, and IMO that would be a good thing for Russia, but I'm not sure is that early enough to prevent revolutions. If Alexander III dies according to schedule ( 1894 ) Russia would have a very young Tsar that could be better Tsar than OTL Nicolas II.

Use of the word primo?

Michael's rule most probably would be a good way to avoid revolution, because OTL the revolution only came about as a result of Russian losses in the war against Japan

My memory is a swiss cheese but I definitely recall that Russian policy in the East was personally formed by the Tsar... Wish I could remember what the fuck I'm talking about! Could you ask this question 10 years ago, then I would be able to answer it...?

Sorry I reposted this from a Facebook group that I tend to frequent so excuse the Spanish. Would there be war between Russia and Japan?
