OTL France, Low Countries, Germany, Baltic States and Poland are one country

So with a POD of 900 AD have the modern OTL have the regions of OTL France, the Low Countries, Germany, the Baltic states, and Poland be one large state.

Is there way this region can be unified?

Also if such a state ever existed how powerful would it be?

You could try having Napoleon win the Napoleonic Wars and then gradually have France gobble up its neighbors.

Also, in regards to the power of this state, this state would certainly have the potential to be extremely powerful--especially if it industrializes quickly in comparison to its neighbors.

I suppose that the consolidation of such a vast empire is imaginable with any number of PODs, including Carolingian survival. Although arguably more culturally diverse than north China, say, it does not seem to be a territory that cannot be governed given sufficiently competent leadership.

PoD of 900? No Nazis, no Napoléon! Instead, I guess we'd have to look at a different HRE-formation and a Westerly expansion istead of the disastrous Italian campaigns.

Hmm post 900 means no direct Carolingian continuation.
Perhaps if West Francia collapses the Ottonians could impose their authority though this greater HRE might be unwieldy and the need for palatines greater.
This entity then has to remain together enough in order to expand eastward.
The Emperorship would have to be at least partially inherited, else ambitious dukes/counts/palatines would try usurpation more often. The idea of circles might arise early if coordination outweighs secession.

The Jagellions might work as a dynastic route - considering they had Poland, Bohemia and Hungary - they could attempt to become HRE, and then King of France.

Alternatively, a Danish HRE could do it, specifically a Kalmar Union HRE. If the Kalmar Union can hold together, it can make further marriage alliances within the HRE - to the point of getting Elector-ship, or Electors on side. Italy would probably break off, or fundamentally ignore the HRE/a member being given some sort of title to grant them authority over Italy. At which point you have an HRE politically centred in the North - with the resources and logistics to take on and over Poland and the Baltics, and the ability to economically isolate Russia - and later invade France. If this HRE was light-touch overall, it could eventually reorganise into a Federal Empire.

This would make an awesome TL.
