Yes, folks, it’s “what if” time again, and here we go.

O.K., here we go.

July 15, 1944, Oberst Claus Von Staufenberg as part of a planned coup against the Hitler government carries, one attaché case full of explosives into the bunker being used to plan the strategy against the allies. However, in THIS timeline he has an assistant, who carries one as well. Both are synched to blow up at the same time, and because Oberst Von Staufenberg’s adjutant has TWO WORKING arms they are able to set the device well and properly. They place the two briefcases and after a suitable time, leave once everyone’s attention is on the meeting.

Several minutes after they have driven away the explosion detonate. Loud enough and bad enough to kill everyone in side. There are No survivors. Adolf Shicklegruber nea Hitler is dead as are many of his inner circle.

Upon returning to Berlin Oberst Staufenberg and his co conspirators put Operation Valkyrie into effect because the civilian leadership of the Third Reich has been decapitated the operation goes into full effect and Von Staufenberg’s conspiracy BECOMES the new leadership of Germany.

Their first act is to send an emergency communiqué to the Allied Governments suing for peace. Their conditions are an end to the war and they offer Germany’s conditional surrender to the allies.

Their only conditions are the continuation of their government and Germany’s security in her borders, PRE- September 1939.

The question is, will the Allies go for it, and if so can the western allies pull the Soviets off of the Eastern front?

And, if so, what happens next?
