Operation Pike and Germany vs the Soviets

Let's say that Britain and France don't go to war over Poland but instead attack the Soviet Union due to the Finnish War. The British and French go through with Operation Pike, however, because they expect the Germans to attack France on their own and want to deprive the Germans of resources.

Instead, the Germans ignore Britain and France and attack the Soviets who are now deprived of oil. Britain and France meanwhile are happy to sit back and watch as the Germans and Soviets clobber each other.

How would such a war play out?

Why would they not go to war over Poland? Germany is in trouble. Incomplete development and buildup to launch a war against USSR. They waited a year to attack France.

How about you stop being a lazy so and so, and map that out so we can all comment ?

For a start, you'd need to explain why Britain and France suddenly have completely different political systems ...

my scenario is that Germany-USSR agree to deal on Poland & Romania (as they DID have a defensive pact), nothing against Finland but it looked as though the two were going to divide Europe there may be more cause to act?

with Romanian oil in German hands, the Allies may see no alternative to slow their war machine than bomb Baku.
